4 hours from Detroit | 5 hours from Chicago
Flying?
Cherry Capital Airport has daily non-stop service for all major carriers from 20 cities in the US.
Transit?
Traverse City has limited rideshare availability for Lyft and Uber. We recommend walking, driving, or using the city's transit system: BATA (including on-demand rides).
Where to Stay?
We recommend something walkable in the downtown area. We are also fans of the Hotel Indigo (IHG) or anything within walking distance.

Happy July! Katelyn and Jimmy here. We’re so happy you can join us for our wedding. As we count it down to July 18-19-20, we’ll send a few texts to share any reminders, and also reach out here in case of changes due to weather or last-minute updates. We are on rain or shine for all events. Can’t wait to see you! J+K :) PS: feel free to reply back here via this txt system but for a faster reply message the number you have saved for either of us.

Peace, intention, and connection is the goal of our one-of-a-kind gathering to bring together the people we love and share the things we enjoy in the place we call home.
We’ve been to so many incredible weddings of friends, family, and Katelyn’s work in photography and art that we wanted to create an event that’s uniquely ours with a focus on valuing slower moments and relaxation.
That’s how we define our “deformalized” day, tented garden party, and the accompanying Friday meetup and Sunday beach brunch. Regardless of whether you can join for each or only one, we’re happy to see you.

Though we are not doing a traditional wedding schedule where there’s a predefined activity happening every 15 minutes, we’ve intentionally cultivated a few things that matter to us to share with you, and most importantly to come together to share a meal, a moment, and amazing conversation with us and all the friends and family you’ll meet.
Though we’re celebrating in our yard, this is not an open house (in fact our house isn’t open). We’re enjoying the entirety of summer outside Some highlights:
2:00 pm – event start, welcome, hellos, appetizers
3:00 pm – food available
5:00 pm – cake :) + games, music, mingle
7:00 pm – sound meditation + golden hour goodbyes

If you’re joining Sunday at the beach, please get your National Parks Pass asap. You can order online or purchase at your local REI. The yearly pass gets you in to any national park. Seniors, military, and disabled are eligible for free or reduced passes. Or you can purchase one for Sleeping Bear Dunes specifically. The beach we’ve chosen doesn’t have a gate or station to buy on the day of, so be sure to display your pass when parking.
If you forget to do all this, you can buy it online on the day of but you have to print it out or write down the confirmation number and date on a piece of paper and put it on your dash. Depending on your cell service, there may not be a signal at the beach. Good luck.

Speaking of roadtrips — be sure just to take a drive! We recommend driving the Old Mission Peninsula, anywhere in Leelanau County, or view Grand Traverse Bay. If you’re joining at the beach, consider taking Bugai Road north to see the stunning hills and glacial features that make Northern Michigan the remarkable place it is. Any route is a good one. Have fun!

Do you have any photos of us together? Send them here or email :)

A word on “sound journey”. Our dear friends are unable to join and lead the sound journey mentioned on our website and invite. Due to this change of plans, no yoga mat is needed. We will be leading a group sound meditation designed to embody peace and send us forth together in connection, joy, and love. Thank you for honoring this experience with us.

We’ve given a lot of consideration to guest experience and interactivity. We’ll leave a few surprises, but here are a some fun things you can look forward to on Saturday:
Local draft kombucha — made with local organic tea
Local kettle chips — award-winning and made here
Local sandwiches as seen on Food Network and made in Leland, Fishtown
Plus various cherry delights to enhance your visit to the Cherry Capital of the World 🍒

A word on beverages. We’ll have a full non-alcoholic menu to share as we don’t drink but we don’t care if you do. Oryana 10th St (the local organic co-op) has an incredible selection of cold drinks a 2 min walk at the end of our block if you want something more. Traverse City Whiskey Co. is also four blocks away. Or bring something! We’ll have extra space in our coolers in case you need to stash anything. Cheers.

Parking: Free public parking anywhere on 10th Street and adjacent streets (9th, 11th, etc) for Saturday. Little Fleet (Fri) has paid street parking or free if a few streets back. Sunday beach is paid parking, see previous text for required pass. If we can help you carpool or collab, let us know — make a friend, make it eco :)

Our very small ceremony will be private Saturday morning, so when you arrive to our event — we’ll be married! See you any time after 2pm on Saturday the 19th. Check out our website or see our last txts for all info.

Beach day! Don’t forget to pack chairs or blankets, towels, sunscreen, etc. for the beach. It’ll be great to splash — this beach is like no other. Look up “Bohemian Road Beach Good Harbor Bay” and walk to the end of the paved parking area to meet us. We’ll have beach brunch snacks.
